CONSTRUCTION ASSISTANCE

Overland Trails offers three types of assistance to help you in building your log home.  Highlights of each are detailed below.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE:
   Overland Trails will perform the “Technical Assistance” for each home that we sell.   Below is a list of the basic assistance we will provide.

  • Confirm the delivery date and customer responsibilities with the new homeowner prior to delivery.
  • Meet the delivery truck and the homeowner at the delivery site upon arrival of the truck.
  • Receive the final payment for materials before off loading the truck. Must be in certified funds.
  • Inventory truckload to insure all material arrived as outlined on the inventory sheet.
  • Performance assistance to your builder in the identifying and installation of the first course of logs on your sub floor. Work with your builder for the balance of the day in the installation of the logs for your new home. Discuss with your builder the construction techniques required for the balance of the construction of your log home.

DRY-IN CONSTRUCTION:
   Listed below are the items generally performed in a “Dry-In construction”. This list can be adjusted to suit our customer’s individual requirements and priced accordingly.

  • Perform all the items listed above in the “Technical Assistance” section and;
  • Installation of the sub floor materials on the customer’s foundation.
  • Installation of the log wall system.
  • Installation of the 2nd floor system.
  • Installation of the roof system up to the final felt.
  • Installation of all dormers and gable end walls to include the framing, sheathing and exterior siding.
